JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
The Native Village of Port Lions is now accepting applications for the following position:
TRIBAL BOOKKEEPER
This is a full-time, permanent position. The successful applicant will be paid an hourly wage:
D.O.E
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a minimum of two years accounting experience
- QuickBooks experience is preferred
- Must have experience with Microsoft Excel & Word
- Must be very organized and detail oriented
- Must have a very good work ethic
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
- Must be willing to improve skills and to travel

DUTIES:
- Accounts Payable/Receivable
- Maintaining all Finance Files
- Distributing Vendor and Employee Payments
- Reconciliation of all Bank Accounts
- Preparing, updating & revising budgets
- Depositing Funds
- Preparing Fund Transfers
- Attend Meetings of the Tribal Council
- Prepare and Maintain an inventory control system
- Prepare and process requested documentation for annual audit
- Financial reporting to include:
Quarterly Tax Reports
Monthly Reports to Council
Reports to funding agencies
Year end employee reporting |
